Drums to "Rocka Rolla" were recorded at the Linnahall Studios in the October of 2000. All other instruments were recorded in the same year at our home studios. Besides ourselves on our regular instruments, the song features additional keyboard parts by Margus Muskat and Kaspar Torn. The song was released in May 2001 on a compilati- on record among 16 other Estonian bands. |

IMPORTANT: The "Poison Art" promo-CD has been recorded "live" (one instrument at a time, but no mixing or fixing) at rehearsal garage in extreme conditions, with only 2 tape-decks equipped with Dolby-S and a broken mixing console, FX used on solos and vocals only - yet the quality surpasses that of many studio efforts, certainly including our own!!! "Oceans of Marble" was recorded and mixed in the September of 1996 at the Linnahall Studios by Elmu Värk, produced by Carnifex and Elmu Värk, except "Noisebound" recorded and mixed by Carnifex during the rehearsals ofJan. 1997. It was packed in special hand-made cardboard covers. |

Carnifex has about 30 songs, some of them have appeared on the following releases. Like any other band, we didn't feel comfortable with all the democassettes, because they didn't reflect the band's current heading. However, we put great stress on the promo-CD "Poison Art" - some of the material is quite sick, bizarre and experimental, bound into progressive metal, that takes influences from the thrash and death scene.
The direction we took on "Poison Art" is refined further on our version of Judas Priest`s "Rocka Rolla". And you`ll be certainly surprised of where we have gone, when you hear our new material.
